VLEPSC accreditation is a voluntary program in Virginia that measures law enforcement agencies against established professional standards in areas such as administration, operations, personnel, and training. The South Hill Police Department received initial accreditation in 2021 and was re-accredited again in 2025.  Our agency continues to strive everyday to exceed these standards and improve effective practices and will go before the commission for reaccreditation consideration again in 2029.
